Mutt was the worst idea next to aliens. indiana jones is not a father character. He never had a wife or a girlfriend in the series. He is an adventurer. Having things like that ties him down. He can't do dangerous things if he has to look after a wife and kid. If indiana jones is getting to old and ready to settle down with a family then that's the end of the adventures. no more movies. ...its one or the other.

Lucas do not mix star wars with indy.

@obiwan5832 Agreed. And do ppl actually think "Mutt" could take over??? I mean, he's a motorcycle mechanic. Far cry from Professor/ Archeologist/ Nazi destroyer. How are they going to explain his sudden comprehensive knowlege of history, etc. He said himself that he hated school.

Mutt will never take over because Ford said he will not allow it. I actually did not hate the fourth movie. There were flaws, though. However, I thought it was worthy of being a Jones film. I truly don't believe that having a son would really change his character in the future.

As much as I'd like to see an Indy 5, I don't know if it will happen. They still haven't agreed on a story yet. Spielberg just finished War Horse but still has to work on Lincoln for 2012 and Robopocalypse for 2013! I hope they will find a story by the end of this year and find a really good writer to get a script going in early 2012! It might be possible for Robopocalypse and Indy 5 to be out the same year. Spielberg has in fact made two movies in the same year many times! Fingers crossed!
