Shoot... I meant to upload this before going to my cousin's wedding last week, but I just completely forgot about it. =S

Anyway yup, it's a rematch battle against Broli, the Legendary Super Saiyan, who can topple some of the mightiest in Mugen. I was thinking that the first time I've fought him, he had given me the toughest challenge I've ever had to contend with in any opponent showcased thus far, so I've just decided that I should recreate the same intense battle, with the same stage, BGM, even the same "Lulzy" intro, but also with a couple different quirks.

First, let me give the recapped-rundown on Broli:

This Broli is an unofficial version of the Necromancer's, containing updated visuals & tweaks in gameplay which explains why he has an added "Hyper" title to his name. It's a befitting term to describe this version because Broli is tough enough as he is, yet this is what he'd be like if he were on uber-steroids.

He's got ten power stacks on his gauge which will refill entirely just by using even his most basic attacks (full power for using a weak punch = Wtfhax), and he WILL use them to spam supers to enormously great effect. In addition to his nearly-limitless energy, he's also a lightning-fast powerhouse who will abuse his teleports anytime, all the time in order to avoid your attacks or catch you off guard to pummel you.

His most dangerous traits, however, is the fact that he's fully capable of comboing you to death with his juggling abilities & his hyper armor, which will allow him immunity to throws & to shrug off most melee attacks without any stun and reverses them at the same time to bite through even your invincibility-enabled attacks. Only small windows of vulnerabilities & 2-3 consecutive attacks connected will break through his armor to allow you to combo him until he's back on his feet.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell; Broli is a f*cking monster that seems like he was made for fighting against two characters rather than one, but that's just not my style. His only weaknesses seems to be that he leaves himself open to throws immediately after getting back up and that he can't recover at all in the air, which leaves him totally defenseless in an infinite air-juggle.

Thought I should break out Ogre in his "CvS2 Shin" mode for this rematch, since the loss of his double air hadoukens has had a bigger impact on my tactics against Broli than I've realized until fighting him (namely being harder), so the extra attack power & Misogi desperation move had helped immensely, yet still kept the fight very difficult to win.

I've tried to make the fight as intense as the first time I've fought Hyper Broli, but I think I've still come up a bit short in comparison. Made some silly mistakes here and there, such as botching up a combo or whiffing a super, which is a huge no-no to do with Broli. Oh well, at least it's longer with three rounds this time, right? XD

Anyhow, life has been set to 200 with three rounds to win the match. Enjoy the video!

  • So how'd you trigger the ground smash move at 5:57? It always comes to me at random..

  • Ah yes, I've actually had to edit the command input & triggers for that Shadow Dio attack in Ogre's CMD file in order to get it working consistently.

Originally, the command input for it is to hold down, then press HP + HK, but you also had to combo into it with very specific attacks beforehand to use it. How it's set up this way, though, makes it impractical to even have it in Ogre's movelist, thus, editing it as such has made it far more useful.

  • Do you guess some of the combos you be doing?

Or you know what you is going to do in the first hit?

  • Mostly based on preemptive instinct on what moves I'd end up using in a combo, but it also depends on other factors, such as which move I've started the combo with, the positioning of myself/the opponent, amount of power stacks I have, etc.

  • What can I say except EPIC!

That was an intense match, a demon vs the devil, what a show. You were pulling out all the stops, using every one of Ogres supers to put down Broli. Though he lost, still got to give the Legendary Super Saiyan props for putting on a gret match.

Highlights, every round finisher especially the throw into Misogi, that was insane. And lulz at mini Broli xD

  • Yep, Broli is most certainly a DBZ devil incarnate, but makes for a worthy challenge.

So you caught that mini-Broli glitch, eh? LoL, sorry for that, but the glitch seems to happen sometimes whenever Broli uses that energy pillar attack on me when I'm parrying or attacking with a Shoryuken.

The mini-Broli clone disappears after getting back up, but the two little orbs that appear in Broli's hands in his idle stance stays visible for the rest of the round. Some weird glitch, eh?

  • That was a smackdown. Heck, you've seem to surpass the way a CPU would control a char. Next time, you using Ogre vs. CPU Ogre.

  • i did a ultra perfect cell v.s hyper and broly wins but cell can beat ogre kuz hes faster but orochi iori can move FAST and he can beat cell hmmmmmm

  • you destroyed him easly

  • I can play Broli better than this CPU (I think the AIis different in WinMugen) and you can skip the intro by pressing any key to just jump to the fight.

  • you rly gotta use yamazaki's super?

  • Word. Yeah D, MP + MK works without the need of one. I thought something was up with the command, because I've had problems with changing the CMD files of characters and thought that something related might be the case..

  • oh.

Same here but there is not that much to do with evil ryu like ogre.

He have like a billion moves.

Maybe I should start my own edit.
