  • to add.. when i used serato ..i thought it was great.. worked just like my vinyls and technics.. what a mean bit of equipment i thought. then i used Traktor and fuck me it did exactly the same... but had 4 decks for multipul looping....recording function.. efects my mixer didnt have..

i got sick of standard 2 deck pre recorded track mixing just" beatmatching" thing every kid can do it ..and i can do that in me sleep... Traktor opens doors for the standard 2 deck mp3 playing dj.

  • @calebharry I bought serato and trakor. I now have the tractor S4 with the scratch upgrade kit. Subscribe to my new channel producersanddeejays for more videos using traktor.

  • @calebharry Sorry this iPhone messes up my typing.

  • im a proud serato user and before going to serato i did my research on both traktor and ssl and found what needed the most was from ssl... i dont need fx, 4 decks, auto sync like traktor offers... 2 decks, STABILITY, and BEATMATCHING is wat u gett with ssl. plus if iwant fx, 4 deck support and ableton scratch live 2.0 is coming out next month with all that n then some. hey theres a reason some bars and nightclub have rane hardware PREINSTALLED... lol...

  • I've got serato now. It work fine for me. I almost bought traktor but it wont work on my old mac g5. I dont dj at clubs. I use serato in some of my videos and on my other youtube channel producersanddeejays

  • thats so funny, you guys will stay with serato just because it has the bridge with abelton. That is real comedy. before the bridge you still used both? trust me if seratos in everything else will be in , in a hot minute. Traktor KILlS serato. Serato suck for real tech stuff. Rane will make it better but at what cost and the biggest question WHEN

  • If the software can play all types of audio files, thats all I need. I bought serato. I dont care about having 4 decks. I'm from the old school. 2 turntables is all I need to rock a party.

  • i got serato last year and i regret it so much! traktor is soooo much better, serato is shit. The cues and lopping are so much better on traktor, more responsive. Also it has some sick effects, recording feature, 4 deck feature, its just so much better i cant beleive serato is still condiered industry standard, i'm gonna sell my serato and get traktor.

  • common opinion is traktor is better

  • I have used both programs on Vinyl and Cdjs. I do enjoy them both.. I love that I didnt have to buy a new serato box (SL1) to do video mixing. I love that traktor has great looping and effect controls.reasons why I dont prefer Trak. 1 being U cant do video mixing with Traktor (yet). 2 Traktor trys to hard it feels and looks gimmicky with their crazy box with all diff colors and connections (just use basic RCAs). 3 traktors synch button is a low blow to any dj that has perfected the art of DJing.

  • What's that record you're scratching with ?

  • just to add to this traktor debate.. atm i use cdj's but just sold my mixer and am getting traktor and the s4. the biggest difference from the 2 is that one, being serato, is accepted more as pro equipment. where as right now traktor isnt taken as seriously cause of the sync features and its newer but this is soon coming to an end with traktor taking over. its cheaper it has better time coding, u can reduce and customize so that the effects arnt even on the screen. y would u pay more for less...

  • this is tight

  • kind of out of question, but has anyone noticed how touchy serato users get when you talk about traktor? they take it as if your insulting their mother or some shit.

  • @mustards12s. I use Traktor my ex partner uses Serato, both work great. I think what it boils down to is what can you as a dj do with either one. I was at a party and this weekend pass and saw a new dj struggling with M Audio Torq. Go with the Traktor from personal experience but Serato will be just fine.I always felt that the equipment doesn't make the dj, the mixing does!

  • goddamn the mormons
