@suzzex Yep, but you're still pretty luck that your Stop & Shop HAS a Dover. Mine has some crappy thing (might be a U.S.), and it too is in bad condition. I noticed the door problem that your Dover has, and I have honestly never seen that problem in person, though I have seen many get turned into closets. Miller Place finally cleaned theirs out and got the personal scanner thing out of the way, so I think a video is in order, plus Ih8escalators asked me about it a while ago.

@alexweb8 Same. I just went back there this weeke.d, and found one of the shredders making a HORRIFIC sound, and one of the can machines shaking so violently it almost tipped over. Stop & Shop also LOVES their elevators, because now the Dover is acting all lovely...

@suzzex If these Envipcos haven't been working properly lately, I wouldn't be surprised if they install new Tomras within the next three years. The old Tomras at South Setauket just got replaced with new ones because they were in bad shape. Stop & Shop seems to give up easily on maintenance (cash registers, produce scales, deli slicers); they replace everything! I like Tomra just fine, but I'd be annoyed if the CF-1500 becomes an endangered species.

I forgot to mention the other day that I passed right by this store on saturday, and realizing that I was in New Rochelle, I wondered if the Stop&Shop I saw from behind was your Palmer Square store so I looked it up when I got home. Lo and behold, this is the store I saw! Also, do the new Envipcos have black covers and green cabinet decals?

@alexweb8 Yes, the store you saw off of I-95 was this one, and yes they do have those covers now :)
