Noise is very loud on this one... I'm not sure how to change that quite yet. Just a short vid on how I get in my car. I was taught how to do this at GF Strong, and I have tried other ways but this seems to be the best way. I put the tires behind the passenger seat, I don't think you can see that part well.
I'm putting it in the "How to & Style" section because the "how to" fits and I can't see anywhere to put it ;)

  • I'm a t12 para and i do this every day to. Your char looks way more comfortable than mine! That back rest looks comfey, mine barely exists....I use a Quickie Ti, what model is that you have?

  • My chair is a quickie as well, I've torn all the annoying tags so long ago that's all I know!

  • What kind of cushion and back is that and what do you think of them? I've been looking for a new cushion for awhile.

  • My back is a Matrix PB or something like that, and I've torn off the tag of my seat a long time ago so I have no idea. Some sort of specialty foams. I really like the back, it hugs you so you don't fall over as easy :P

  • Thanks paraAdrian!

  • I lift it over me, lying down with the seat back, and over to the passenger seat.

  • i'm a t12 as well.. i have a pressure sore on my ankle from driving cuz my ankles roll outward do u have the same problem? email me rossries@gmail.com :) thanks

  • Thanks for showing how you do it. I'll be needing to do it soon and I am trying to figure out the best way for me. I think I might do what you did, wheels in the back, frame on the seat beside me.

  • Thanks for posting this, i've lived with handicap people my whole life.

I've never seem anyone do this before, but have seen people like yourself in a wheel chair, with a car. I always wanted to know how you got in, and got the wheel chair in!

  • Thanks for answering. I use an ADI carbon fiber backrest, but it's not curved. I could use a lower one if it was. I've been looking for a good cushion that is curved for my legs and is also good for a high risk of skin breakdown.

  • i like ur views.pretty interesting stuff.u have something to say without sounding airheadish lol.if theres such a word.
