alonzo mourning...i've seen this guy at the sydney 2000
olympics, wasn't playing just walk through the entrance
of the olympic park train station...i'm only 5'7, so
to me he was huge...it was a pleasure, unfortunately
he didn't look to happy to hear me say "is that alonzo
mourning?"

@Lorenshyne Well, the award also takes into account other facets of life of an athlete, not just his basketball prowess. Brad's a great guy, great student, he does a lot of community service, just an overall well rounded guy in addition to being a phenomenal basketball player so that's why he won it. I don't know much about Rivers or Davis besides their ball abilities but I'll take a leap of faith and say Brad's just a better guy in general than them.

I like this video: good to see Alonzo in great shape, doing good. Also i am surprised that Bradley Beal got this award. Somebody pliz explain it to me why he got it? I am nothating just asking. Brad is an awesome player but in my perspectives Austin Rivers and Atnhony Davis are exceptional talents. maybe there were other factors? Peace
