It's funny the way everyone is mentioning the grasshopper freaking them out! I too used to get so scared when seeing it.
They obviously tapped into something there!

Pat Keysell and Tony Hart, both now sadly departed. Makes me feel old ! Which of course I am......should I do the line? OK....Tony Hart....dead now....pit poney chewed....through the flex of his hairdryer....just lost the will to live........

that springy thing at the start gave me nightmare too , did it come out of an egg in later or earlier titles
