@stryker7x $1100 is a steal. I paid $1425, which is still good, considering the MAP is $5600 for this model last year. 82 hours on it when I first checked. Now it's a little over 500 hours and going strong.
I chose to go anamorphic and be ready for future upgrades. But the lens costs more than I paid for the projector!
I bought a spare bulb from Pureland Supply for $145 on eBay, so in about five years.. I'll be needing to replace the bulb at the rate I'm using it now.
Enjoy your IN82!

@basspig Yep your right. Well Im going to play with it ti´ll the screen player model comes down in price. Overall I´m very happy with its color performance looks very natural and contrast is very good
. Well thanks for your help and reinforcement in my purchase. Congrats and enjoy. CHEERS

@stryker7x You really need a big room for the IN82, which, IMHO, is its main disadvantage. The colors are good and the contrast is terrific and brightness, tremendous. I can live without lens shift.. heck, I paid $1425 on eBay for mine with 82 hours on it, so that's like 27% of street price, new, so no complaints here.
For a while I was looking into getting a plano-concave lens to place in front of the lens, but large lenses are hard to find and expensive. Projectors are coming down in price.

May I ask how much did you get the IN82 for? I paid $1,100 with two new bulbs it is used but still very good. By the way nice anamorphic set up you got there. Congrats

@stryker7x The two anime films are on Blu-ray, although I find that the Oppo BDP-83 does a very fine job upscaling DVDs too. But the difference in detail is immense on the Blu-ray discs of Wings of Honneamise (I own both DVD and BD of this) and a lot of people don't realize what they're missing on DVD anime.
Throw distance is long, and I think it wants something like a 300" screen at 30' or so. Infocus doesn't have any lens options for the IN82. I got it real cheaply, so am willing to make do.

@basspig thanks, I just got it and ur right the throw distance is insane. Colors are fantastic very natural looking. I still dont know if I should keep it. Due to the throw distance the screen isn´t as big as it could be. Correct me if I´m mistaken but your showing Anime films on both your vids. right ? Would you be kind enough to upload a demo of your theater showing Blu Ray of HD media? I would much appreciate it. Thanks again.

@stryker7x I love it. It passes ALL of the contrast and saturation tests on the Spears & Munsel test disc that I got with my Oppo BDP-83 player, has fantasticly deep blacks and good shadow detail, and provides very lifelike skin tones.
My only grips are that the zoom doesn't go wide enough (it is intended for medium venue size with a 25-35' throw distance) and I already had to remove one support column to get the image to where it is. Also reds are not as brilliant as I'd like. Otherwise good.

This is what I want my basement to look like some day! (Nice Nausicaa poster I noticed!)

@enemyofbohemia Ah, someone notice "our Young Lady" on the wall. Good eyes!
Well it only took me 38 years of saving and building to get this far. :-)
