If I see ads like this...I'd spray some liquid ass on them!!! Beauty industry ain't taking me down with them!!!

I don't get it, but in a way I do. People are protesting about this but there's nothing done. It's all about 'looks' & 'money'. So many people are turning against the whole 'look' thing, so instead of making ads waning us about looks, etc, why doesn't someone actually do something about it? Wouldnt the world become better? Haven't we destroyed the world enough already with people being depressed, even killing themselves bcoz of their self-esteem issues? This shit's being shoved down our throats.

What an effective ad. It makes you wonder when you see that girl at the start/end..who is clearly beautiful...and you think how she isn't conventionally pretty.
-
@bakidge Hey you know theres nothing wrong with you wanting to be with somebody thin and beautiful. Its just that the industry is determining for us what exactly IS thin and beautiful

How can they make these comercials but sell axe.. where they objectify women just to make money and please guys. Honestly..? step up drove! practice what you preach, walk the walk however you wana put it! Stop saying that its hurting our little girls and then next comercial... you know.. YOU HURT OUR LITTLE GIRLS...? good job Dove.. good comercial great idea.. but come on..

I feel like only skinny girls get the attention though. Most of my best friends have boyfriends. They all weight about 110 pounds or so. I weigh 140 and I haven't been looked at by a guy for months. I guess girls that aren't that skinny just have to wait for a more mature guy?

WOW!!!! i did not know tis was a dove ad, i thought it was a message from the government of canada...

I find it so stupid that we rely on Dove to tell us obvious things that we should be telling ourselves. I mean, their message is good, but seriously- the people who own Dove also own Axe. All they really care about, in the end, is making money. Why do we need them to tell us we're beautiful?
Dove would be more successful at raising girls' self esteem if they could convince shallow guys like me that they don't want to be with someone thin and beautiful. I think the media "talking to girls" isn't the problem. I think the problem comes from the media talking to us guys...

I'm not a female or anything but I have seen the real danger of the beauty industry! My fiance from a few years back committed suicide because she thought she was ugly. Just like all women she was bombarded with the images that beauty industry bombarded her with! All the way up until her death she had anorexia and body dysmorphia! So I support this movement to help women realize they are beautiful and I've even put it on my myspace account!
