My grandfather was in the Waffen SS. He served in France, Holland and Belgium....
He died in 1994....

Hello. The picture 1.25-1.30 is a famous manipulated picture. I once saw a reprint of the original, and the conclusion is clear. The Soldier, on the original is seen, not shooting at the Woman carrying a child on her arm. He is shooting at an enemy farther away. The Waffen SS were not murderers. They were brave, anti-communist elite-soldiers. Even the honourable soldiers amongst their enemies acknowledged that.
