@bawltimore Michigan State had one timeout left, so there wouldn't have been a technical. Stuff like that happens in sports, and really, the chances of sinking a three pointer with 6.6 seconds left on a running clock off the in-bounds are probably less than devising a play with 2.2 seconds left off a time out. They're both extremely low, but MSU pulled off the improbable on this play.

Obviously, he didn't call timeout, and the "T" wasn't completed. If the ref would have heard the timeout, he would have blown the damn whistle!

Look very closely at this clip and you will notice that Michigan State's coach Tom Izzo calls a time-out with about 2.2 seconds left. His body language and the signal of a "T" can be seen but the ref is off camera. If Michigan State had no time-outs left then it would have been a technical but the ref's overlooked this!!

nice point out, now that I saw that. They probably wouldnt have won if the refs caught that.
