On the way back from Volcan I busted out the Drift helmet cam for a little vlog. Narrow mountain roads like this can be dangerous, mostly because of epically stupid people trying to pass. I prefer to take them slow and stay behind something much larger than myself. That way if some dummy does try to make a pass on a curve they run into a dump truck instead of me.

  • @halfthrottle Now thats a great tip. ill be writing that one in my mental bank fo sho

    Thanks!

  • Good tip. I call them "blockers" but either way its the same deal.

  • I have been doing this shield thing for years, & also when I'am in my car - but thanks for the tip for others!

  • @halfthrottle nps it was u being patient tht changed my attitude ! ride safe so we can get more great vids and so i can troll (a bit nicer and only when it's called for)

  • @Bkrayzaythetrollolol Well I also like to use cars when going through intersections here. Or turning left off a main road in town. People just need to always be aware of potential threats around them, and always be thinking of way to avoid them.

    Thanks for chilling out. :)

  • @halfthrottle ty for the correction on that i just saw issues with ppl taking it wrong and putting cars on their left in intersections or on right (how my buddy died). Keep posting good vids and i'll keep commenting XD here you have redeemed yourself in my eyes i'm removing the original post because of my new-found respect for you . education is key and where someone gives bad or in this case a tip that needs more details it's us riders who have to help correct this! Thnx for being patient!

  • @Bkrayzaythetrollolol The car I was using as a shield in this video was a safe distance in front of me. Sorry to hear about your friend, riding anywhere that puts you in danger of being smashed between 2 cars is a bad idea. Use the cars as shields, but keep a safe distance.

  • @halfthrottle honestly just trying to point out a bad tip i may have been a bit harsh but i HAD a buddy who figured he should shield himself with a vehicle untill his head popped like a balloon when it was wedged between his bike and the oil pan of the car he was using as a shield just an all around bad tip. I don't want any riders to suffer the same fate.

  • @Bkrayzaythetrollolol You shouldn't listen to me. Who's forcing you? Why are you so upset?

  • OMFG i jus heard the part of using a car as a "shield" smooth so when HE gets sideswiped next to you he can stay on top of you and your bike!
