SCORCHED
By Wajdi Mouawad, Translated by Linda Gaboriau
Directed by Kelly Reay
November 19 28, 2009
Now that we are together, everything feels better.
After the death of their mother, twins Janine and Simon receive a surprising request in her will to deliver letters to a father they thought was dead and a brother they never knew existed. Plunging into their mothers history in a war-torn Middle Eastern country, the twins discover their mothers long concealed history while struggling to solve the mystery of their origins.
This haunting work may be the best piece of theatre this country has produced this millennium
