Eric Lindros talks about his role as the NHLPA ombudsman, Brett Hull's appointment as co-GM and concussions in the NHL. Interviewed aired during the 11/17/07 HNIC pre-game
It bothers me to see professional athletes always being portrayed as stupid. There are very few positions in any sport that you can be the best at if you're stupid. Lindros is a very intelligent guy. He is still one of the best I have ever seen play. I think a lot of what he is saying in this interview is still ringing true today; I.E. the instigator rule.
He should of became the NHLPA baby because he is a little weak crbaby and he is a terrible hockey player who always runs back to mommy when things go wrong.
@stevieray351I could present you a list of players having their head down when carrying the puck, but i'm afraid that you'd lose your patience going down the list.If Lindros'd kept his head down all the time he wouldn't have collected over 400 assists, because he couldn't see them, could he?He was one of the best in passing, you idiot. He was a center, and his teammates depended on his plays.Guess who was responsible for LeClair's 50 goal seasons,Renberg's best years, etc.?Stevens' hit=a piece of shit
@88BigEtrain cliche? its just a well known part of playing hockey, if you always have your head down your going to get drilled over and over again. It just means look where your going its pretty simple, lindros just never grasped it for some reason....yeah stevens was so frustrated he won 3 cups and a conn smythe and is a HOFer, and what a coward he only had about 3,000 pim you are just ridiculous....Lindros himself wouldnt agree with you, plus i dont think he can read
@stevieray351 Yeah,I'll be looking forward to a conversation, bring it on,set it up.I reiterate, they have no logical reason besides those that don't stand a chance and are silly. He's no would of,should of, could of,for that turn to some other players.Lindros totally lived up to his hype until headhunters led by Mr. "frustrated coward" Stevens decided to put an end to his greatness.Your "keep your head up" cliche is all worn out and I laugh at that argument every time, somebody brings it up.
@88BigEtrain ya ill get right on that you should be getting a call from those experts soon...you are delusional, eric lindros was a great talent, that became nothing more that another would of, could of, should of, he never came close to his billing as the "next one". theres a reason his career ended with injuries, he apparently never listened to his coaches when they told him, keep your head up. How dumb can u be to skate over the blue line looking down with stevens on the ice, come on
@stevieray351 Like i said,if,as you claim the ranking was compiled back in 1998,it's a complete joke and those "experts" can bring it on to me,give me the reason why they rated him that low.Well,I can tell you right now that would have no logical reason to back up their opinion.I don't think that I have any desire to go into any reasonable conversation. The only thing that I can do is to laugh at them and suspect that they were out of their damn minds at that moment.
