Interview with Pole Dancing Sisters!!

I had the pleasure of sitting down and chatting with http://Studioveena.com members Amber and Amy! Both of these ladies bring amazing beauty and grace to their dancing. Amber is the USPDF West Coast winner, and will be competing in the upcoming USPDF Nationals in March. Amy will also be competing in March for the Amateur division.

for either of the kids to share my interest in long bike rides, but they just never got into it. So I can relate to that story. Your mom sounds like she's had a very fascinating life--Vegas shows, Aerial Hoop, dance teacher..she sounds like an incredible woman! Hearing you both talk about your backgrounds in France and traditional ballet made me think you both HAVE to do workshops in France one day--maybe with Marie Dunot--also a ballet/poler. Now THAT would be awesome! Great vid, Veena!

I enjoyed that so much! What stands out in this interview is the theme of family and family support. I've seen you two dance before in your videos at Poletential and commented on the interaction and interplay between both of you as you dance. I saw it again here..as long as you've known each other as sisters--your whole lives--yet each watches and listens to the other as intently as if it were your first encounter. Too funny about your dad and weightlifting...I was always desperate (cont'd)

I love Ambers idea of starting a physical therapy program specificly for pole dancers. That is really something that us polers need, because we're always banging ourselves up!

Miss pole Australian 2006 video of Felix cane was what got me into pole as well. I love you Amber :-) I'm gonna be in new york and can't wait to meet you both :-)
