  • Rameau's greatest opera begins with this marvelous introduction!

  • I could listen to this on a loop for hours. The intro is stunning. Everything about it is stunning. This is one of Rameau triumphs. The only other overture of his that I like as much as this is the overture to Pygmalion. (Especially the fast-section of that overture.)
