Malaysia: Tanah Merah Rubber plantation 1952

Heavily guarded British rubber plantation which I thought to be in Kelantan, but one of my viewers remarked that it was near Port Dickson, Negri Sembilan, not kelantan...

its all oil palm now. the whole tanah merah estate. all the way from sepang to lukut.

nice video...I know this place...visited this plantation in 1993..that time I was working as Field Conductor at Sungai Mahang Estate near Salak Tinggi...now Sungai Mahang Estate Kubang Div no longer exits...housing estate now...

@MichaelRogge, No, but this estate is familiar among the planters in malaysia, which was located training school for plantation executives from Guthrie. The estate still exists which now under Sime Darby Plantation.

I was made to understand that the palantation workers were paid meagre wages.They barely could survived.The women plantations workers sometime were raped by the British plantation officers
