The reason the RNRHOF isn't located in Memphis is because they wanted to stick in the Pyramid, whereas Cleveland built a brand new facility just for it. It's funny because Memphis built new facilities for Stax, Rock & Soul Museum, and now the Blues Hall of Fame.

Do they by any chance have Jimi Hendrix's guitar??
-
hey they took out the guitars

the only thing Cleveland holds on to is the ROCK N ROLL FAME, other than that theres nothing there.

@Shawninlakewood: My point is that locating the Hall in Cleavland is undeserved and the decision to place it there was because Cleveland won a business bid. It properly belongs in Memphis--the birthplace of the music. But, people can come to Memphis and view the Rock & Soul Museum in that town.

@aarfeld Well it wasn't called Rock and Roll, hence that's why Cleveland's the Home of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Part II: But the guitar player had a torn speaker in his amp so Sam Phillips stuffed some paper in there to "fix" it. The combination of a heavy back beat and that distorted guitar sound from that amp on the song they recorded
"Rocket 88" is the water-shed moment that most Rock historians agree was the point where Rhythm & Blues left off and Rock and Roll began.
Who do you guys think should be inducted next year? Here are my top 10 in no particular order:
The Grassroots, The Association, The Zombies, The Searchers, The Seekers, The Turtles, Spanky and our Gang, The Stone Poneys, Seals and Croft; Peter, Paul, and Mary.
