Donholm demolitions

One man has died and several children are injured after a hired mob descended on their school last night and demolished the schools structures.The pupils of Mother of Mercy School in Donholm were asleep in their dormitories when the mob arrived and started bringing down the structures.In the melee, one man was seriously injured and died on arrival to hospital and two children who were injured are undergoing treatment.

The police either were unable or unwilling to uphold the law. In any other civilized state, arrests would have been made, writs would have been issued for murder, assault, destruction of property and endangering life. Not in Kenya, because this is the endgame of a failed state. Instruments of power are used at individual whims and the law is emasculated to serve the cartel that lords over the poor. I despair for my beloved country

This is evidence of a failed state. We are supposed to have instruments of state, which are supposed to maintain order and uphold the rule of law. It doesn't matter who is right or wrong in this case, that is for the courts to decide....what is important is on this night, loss of life and limb together with destruction of property using extrajudicial force occurred. A state of lawlessness in which police were unable or unwilling to use the powers conferred on them was allowed to happen.

Wait a second....Nairobi has an Urban Physical Planning Unit. What was the area in question for? We can't have slums and schools springing up left and right in the city. Some orderly growth is needed here.

More than just heads need to roll for this one. Where in the world is demolition carried out without ensuring that the area is clear??? Not even in Soweto, S.A. did this happen! What happened to humanity? Bomoa a house with a family still inside; unheard of...except in Kenya.
