Over a hundred people from seniors to toddlers, plus a few dogs, picnicked on Pier 11 during PortSide's BlueBQ fundraiser in Atlantic Basin. In attendance were our home the tanker MARY A. WHALEN and the visiting historic tug CORNELL. Music was by steel guitarist Smitty and the Union Street Preservation Society band. Jack Putnam of the South Street Seaport recited Melville's Moby Dick from memory. Balloons by Pete Waldman, sound by Mingo Tull.
