Yin my betta builds lots of bubble nests, he protects them very well by displaying and flaring his fins.

  • no offense but why do people discourage pet smart purchases? I mean thats a really retarded thing to do.I mean if you dont by the animals from them then the animals just stay there dieing in a small case or tank dieing sadly.I mean why buy a animal thats in a happy good home when you can buy a sad one and give it a happy home.

  • @robloxhector678 You know what, that is an amazing point that I never even thought about. I bought my bearded dragon from petsmart and he was close to death. I was able to get him help and save his life, now he is pampered beyond belief and is my child. Great comment, I totally agree, you have changed my thoughts on the matter lol

  • mess with the fish, get the gills

  • @robloxhector678 That's what I was thinking when I got all 4 of my betta fish. 3 of them were so sick but I got them back up to health and they lived for about 2 years each, but the 4th one was so far sick that I couldn't save him. =( BUT my little Jack is a happy man who flares his fins n__n

  • & @robloxhector678 Answer:

When we keep shopping big stores, CEOs (ALL about the bottom line) see how lucrative animal-pushing is: more and more get hurt. We all see animals horribly dying there--a big clue that we canNOT condone, support or further that..."business".

Had to save a baby cockatiel there... too young to eat, starving. Staff shrugged. (A sweet fuzzy face kissing my fingers, asking for food!...) Called a hotline (due to a *legal settlement*--they're KNOWN for harming).

    HTH!

  • @ChristinaR5 its a trap those petstores set for us. we feel so sorry for the weak lil animals that we buy them to spare there lives. but what is right. boycotting and letting thousands of innocent animals die to prevent its happening or just up and save them in the first place you know

  • Mines looks exactly the same as yours, I just got mine today, what did you use for a bubbles? Oh, and my bowl is a 0.82 gallon, is that good enough? And how often do you change the water?

  • Mine does that too :)

  • It looks like a blue ninja coming towards me with butter knives

  • @ChristinaR5 some of the workers arent so nice and they dont treat animals with care because they get new ones in every week or so like this betta there i saw last time had finrot so bad it had five tails!!! and i pointed it out about a few others too and they just ignored me!

  • @robloxhector678 Because if the fish aren't being well kept in the store, then you really shouldn't reward the store with your money. It sounds cruel, but if you just keep buying the fish to "save" them, then the pet store will just keep treating them like crap. Sad but true.

  • I guess that fish is thinking how can he find a gun
