This Graphical User Interface(GUI) is arranged to appear as a role-playing game character creation screen. The GUI runs on a separate thread and features Call-Back functions, movable components, and other features described in the video.
The model used is a skeletal mesh provided by Carl Granberg's book, "Character Animation in Direct3D" and the background is from http://www.wallpapersbest.co.cc/wallpaper/Universe4/
