I found you through another vlogger. I appareciate the fact that there are people out there who share my hobbies and intrests that are so few and far between to find. I also feel the that small channels are the most honest and personalable.
-
I like it because it's nice to find other people you can relate to and who make you laugh, in real life you're sort of stuck with the people who are around you but on the internet you can pick and choose and it's not taken personally. I subscribed to you because you're interesting, smart and I like hearing what you have to say. I think sharing what you have to say IS important because it makes everyone feel less of a freak when there's more variety of opinions shared :)

@iliveonplanetspace You're lovely =)

@ZoyaZafar Yup, I think most vloggers (including myself) weren't particularly popular in school and end up subconsciously making up for that in other ways. Or perhaps social networking has turned us into a society of attention-seeking brats.
-
@ZoyaZafar I feel the same way, and oftentimes even if I have a comment to make on popular youtuber's video I won't do it because they won't read it among the thousands they get and they certainly won't reply. I don't blame them, it's just the way it is. It's a shame though.

@speakupforjustice I will be watching that TED talk as soon as I find the time. I'm glad you don't find me the narcissistic type, but I can't promise i'm never going to talk about myself on this channel. :)

@seeingblueskies Did you? I need to watch that! I really like what you said about consuming more than you produce, and I really think that that's the key element here. I think the vast majority of vloggers make videos because they got hooked on watching other peoples and wanted to join in on the fun themselves. From that perspective, it isn't really narcissistic at all.
I first found your video as a response to another vlogger I was subscribed to (couldn't say which). I clicked on the video because I thought you were pretty, and I subscribed because I liked what you had to say. I started out just watching YouTube for entertainment way back to watching CommunityChannel, but regardless of the kind of video, you eventually get to know the person behind them, and I found myself liking that more personal aspect as well. Vlogging is not inherently narcissistic, IMHO.

You're an interesting person, in a good way of course. I like watching video bloggers such as yourself as its nice to hear what other people have to say and how they live their lives.
YouTube has a great community of video bloggers to. I love attending gatherings here in the UK and meeting new people in the community.

@ChapperzTV It seems like the UK has an absolutely fantastic youtube community! It must have to do with getting everywhere by train, you can all meet up so easily!

I think the fact that so many people are on YouTube and watch vloggers sort of says something about the humanity of us all. I think we naturally want to connect to other people and see what life is like for them and what their opinions are. I stole a bit of that from remembering a video about social networking but I think it's so true. I'm also more likely to subscribe to Nerdfighters who like books, because I'm a Nerdfighter who likes books, so that would be the main reason I'm subbed to you :P
