  • waht do you wash thear??? is this a comforter

  • It's a Queen Size comforter, very bulky and heavy when wet.

It's suppose to be dry clean only but I use it as a extra cover during the winter.

  • @americanwasherfan Yes it is. my back up machine when I need stuff in a hurry!

  • Very nice! By any chance, would you be interested in making a full cycle vid?

  • @Sharkie626

It's time consuming to chop and crop to fit in a full wash cycle on Youtube.

I must say no at this time.

  • You can literally see the up and down motion of the agitator in addition to the rollover action!!! ; )

  • @vanni9283

Consider all the Direct Drive washers on You Tube that shows the Triple Action Agitator, this is the only one showing the true feature in motion.

    Thanks for pointing it out!

  • @SpazChat If it was harsh on our clothes, we would not have it for 21 years. Don't forget, our machine is 3 Speed, so it has appropriate agitation for our delicate items which, btw, do turn over very well, because a full load of delicates for us needs about a small to medium water level and no higher.

  • @Sharkie626 , Oh come on Sharkie, you know those triple-action and dual-action agitators are harsher on the clothes

  • @SpazChat There is nothing wrong with this agitation. Like you said with the straight-vanes if you don't overload it, things will be fine. I have shirts, pants, even bed sheets, from 2004 that have been through our direct drive several times and they are still in exactly one piece today, with absolutely no signs of rips or tears. The dual action agitators are fine as well. We recently did a full load of jeans and khaki pants, there is no way they would have tuned over well with a straight-vane.

  • I've said it before, I'll say it again. That high speed agitation is bad news... Gentle cycle on this washer doesn't provide turn over for sturdy items, so you can't use that instead. While dual action agitators seem to work well, they're not necessary. There was nothing wrong with the straight vane agitators. They worked find as long as you didn't overstuff the washers. Dual action agitators are more repair prone. I guess that's the point, more profit for washer companies

  • @SpazChat No there was nothing wrong with those machines. The machines were in a holiday resort and have a coin system so the program times shorter as we have to pay £3.50 for a wash which is quite cheap. Anyway, I prefer a front loader for the water efficiency.

  • @blakaeg , No you totally missed the point. Unclean clothes can be the result of over-stuffing a conventional top loader too, but front loaders cannot match the scrubbing action of top loaders like this. These washers actually scrub the clothes. The washer you had bad experiences with may have had something wrong with the plumbing.

  • @SpazChat Oh right, so like how you can stuff a front loader and it then wont clean properly, this can never happen in a top loader, I see that as an advanatge it has there. There used to be top loaders in the UK but like you say, it was never really popular.
