  • The hairstyles look right for the early 60s...I'd say about 1963...the cars in the background are about right, too...

  • I agree, I'd now put my money on '63. Having thought about it, the hairstyles went a bit more bouffanty in '64.

  • hey are you able to tell me what year was this advert out for my studies would be very greatfull if you could cheers

  • Hi, looking at the fashions and the shopping basket, my guess would be circa 1962-64. Probably more towards the 63-64 mark.

  • hey cheers did consider that date but wasnt to sure thank you for commenting back

  • they used a lot of little blonde boys for these persil commercials, I'm sort of suspecting the more charismatic boy in the line of commercials from the clips called roll back the years to 1960's british ads 2, he reminds me of Simon but even with that child I'm not sure. I wish Simon would own up already!

  • Little Simon Le Bon...

  • @saundersDave11 Whooooo! Awww, i've gone all soppy. :-D

  • @Sazzied2 Probably the main boy in the white shirt. He fits the right age in 1964, and the Wikipedia article refers to this too. Hope it is!

  • @saundersDave11 Nice one Dave. I wonder which boy he is?

  • @Sazzied2 I'm thinking that this could be Simon Le Bon as the little boy here. According to Wiki, he appeared as "boy in white shirt" in a persil ad around 1964, which could be this advert, by the looks of it.

  • @NSLocomotiveFan Not found it yet... You? Hey! I see by your name, that you like trains! The Deltic is my favourite train. I remember watching her go in and out of Kings Cross with my grandad. We used to stand on a viewing platform in Finsbury Park. :-D

  • @Sazzied2 I was wondering the same!

  • Simon Le Bon was in a Persil Ad when he was a kid. Anyone know if it's on here somewhere?

  • The year was 1963...The dark haired boy is Darryl Read, Actor, poet and rock star.

    Great to see this!!!!
