Merlin is in the garage.
We'll take him for walks on his halter later on, when the weather turns.
He sure is fun, very interactive, quite a vocabulary.
We are hoping he was false positive for FIV. He could exist with other cats as long as he didn't bit them. I won't expose my Archie to him, Archie wants to be the only inside orange fellow, my number one boy.
Merlin will be getting a very high cat tree soon.

  • Merlin is a gorgeous orange boy! I hope it's false positive! I love how he looks right into the camera.

  • @utahactor Yes, thank you. You have such lovely orange cats, you should know!. I almost wished I could make a breed out of Merlin, but I neutered him, there are too many cats already. The repeat blood test shoed he is FIV positive. I still think he will live a long life. He'll be treated well and he is very strong and well now. Check out more recent of his vids, walking on a harness inside and outside!

  • Did the results come back yet for Merlin's FIV test? That's quite the setup you've got! Toys everywhere! Woohoo! Playground for kitties!

  • @jennifergwaine He had blood test yesterday, waiting to hear from the vet. Thanks so much for asking.

My Gracie Meem had a blood test yesterday too, she's had some digestional troubles, two rounds of antibiotics. Gracie has a few videos also.

  • @jennifergwaine Yes, they came back today. He does have FIV. Rats.

Gracie Is getting a sonogram tomorrow. The vet is trying to rule out FIP, that's P not V. Another blood test for the antibodies for FIP went out today.

Very concerned for my sweet little cat that had such a rough life. Thanks for caring and asking.

  • Good luck Merlin! We adopted an FIV cat that was able to live on the house with all our others. Fortunately everyone got along just fine and it worked out well.

  • @beekalmer Is one of your current cats the positive one? I am hesitating because of Archie Sunshine Toes. He is older, skinney, I am real sure he doesn't want some athletic bruiser around. Gilda Marie would be MAD. Gracie Meem would ignore. We'll see. Thanks for the encouragement.

  • oh bless his smart soul. they are so amazing with illness - they dont want you to worry about them and they just get on and adjust. all the best to him!!

  • @venniey

Sorry to hear that he is positive. Hopefully he will have a very long and enjoyable life. Thank for the comment on my kitties. Zeus & Phoebe walk on harnesses around the neighborhood and at public parks with people about. And they both go to PetSmart OFF LEASH while riding in the shopping cart from my van in the parking lot through the store, with dogs about, and back outside to the van!

  • @venniey Poor Merlin and Gracie. :( Well, I've heard that cats with FIV can live just as long as cats without, so I hope this will be the case with him. As for Gracie, I hope it's nothing major and she's back to good health very soon. Thanks for the update, though I wish it was better news. :( xo

  • @venniey Please fill me in when you find out about Merlin. Poor Gracie, is she going to be ok after the antibiotics?
