Star Portraits with Rolf Harris (2004) is where a group of three professional portrait artists are assigned the task of painting a celebrity from life using their preferred style. The star then decides which portrait to take home with them.
On 18 January 2004, antique dealer and celebrity, David Dickinson was the subject. Three artists were asked to paint a portrait of David from a personal sitting including Andrew James RP. Weeks later the finished results were unveiled at The National Portrait Gallery and David was asked to choose his favourite, which he was allowed to keep. Andrew James' painting brought a tear to David's eye as he was confronted by a striking likeness to his Mother. The portrait now has pride of place in David's home.

Who said anything about becoming an art critic? By that rationale he shouldnt be allowed to pick the painting he likes best because he is not an art critic. I love art but hate the snobbery and pretentiousness that surrounds it.

There is inherent need to talk shite when it comes to art. They cant just paint what they see, they have to try and add some grander meaning to it

cant believe these artists are saying he has separate personalities when he says in the first part he is the same person on tv and off. They think they know everything about him from a just few hours painting him.
