Thank God Brain Singer has nothing to do with the Man of Steel now. Superman Returns was the worst comic book movie I have ever watched! Kevin Smith hit the nail on the head when explaining what was wrong. It was just a 2 hour bore-fest of pure bullshit! I hope Zack Snyder can save Superman becuase if the next movie fails, you will never see another movie about hm again.

Superman Returns is so underrated. Everyone was comparing it to all the other flashy superhero movies. I was so glad it wasn't like that. To me, it was more genuine.

Don't know why people in the comments are so pissy about Smith, it clearly states his name on this video title, no one is forcing you to click.
Also, are people just saying they liked Superman Returns because the critics liked it? Because I find it hard to believe that people remained interested throughout the whole thing. Although X-Men 3 isn't really better either.

@indysoul86 Returns wasn't bad, just was boring as hell. Certain heroes are expected to have action scenes in their movies, If I see a Superman movie want to see Supes have a real fight.
If it was a hero like The Question or some street level character, then a predominantly character driven piece with a strong focus on romance might work. I just don't think it worked that well for Supes.
