  • Is it just me or was the emergency lane/hard shoulder clear the whole time. Surely it would be better to use that than make everyone move

  • @fwed1 It wouldve been better but we needed to be on the left side of the road and it we wouldnt have been able to get over when we got to where we needed to be

  • get your sirens goin nowonder everyone was fucked up

  • @ragheadexterminator Noise would have made the situation worse

  • Wrong threw. It's Through.

  • I think you might have that wrong. Your fire department may have rules about running overheads and sirens, but I don't think its an actual state law. For ex. In my department our protocol states that we will not use sirens unless it is deemed necessary.

  • It's The Law To Use Sirens At ALL!!!! TIMES

  • @Dbooks1884 kind of useless in using the siren on a completly empty road with no intersections and a clear view to both the front and the sides, isn't it? I can tell you that even as we are in a city here, our department hardly uses the siren and stil moves fast and safe through traffic

  • @bum291 true! sometimes it's better not to use the siren to keep the situation calm and let people their time to react.

take a lokk at the video "Einsatzfahrt Feuerwehr Norwegen (inside view)" - also some really nice calm and smooth driving

  • So Jane Lew, WV headed to the Weston/Buckhannon exit on I-79. Been by that area more times than I can ever think to count.

  • The rule is you have the lights on the siren is on. The siren says: "make way" and it should have been on. If a car pulled out and hit you you would have been legally at fault.

  • "I feel like Mosus" hahaha

  • This is how I feel on my motorcycle in heavy traffic, minus the accommodating and courteous drivers.

Thanks for your service, guys. Firefighters are the best. Everyday heroes, making it look easy. <3

  • it looks like a horror movie

  • @Footballarm102 I'm over in Europe, but we have the same deal here. Law requires siren and lights... with the exceptions of highways. But we may of course choose to use it at our own choice there as well. So, I think the choice to not use the siren all the time was a good way of not stressing people out, good job :) That was one of the best examples of calm and safe driving I've ever seen.

Watch: 'To much federal "Q"Engine 2' for something to compare with.
