This video shows two A Class powering up out of Port Lincoln, through where the Government Produce Siding was formerly located. Last time I saw A class on grain was in WA in 1984.

The level crossing (Pine Freezers Road) is just north of the fish processing area of Port Lincoln.

The train is bound for Kimba, twelve hours away.

Shows the nicely finished heavy rail on steel.

Other parts of the Coast are being refurbished with new steel sleepers.

  • Sorry - no Idea re the horn types

  • wow your very close to that train

  • The video was shot from public land, on the outside of warning signs - the camera angles make it look close too!

  • Awesome video 5*****

  • That is correct. The company is Gennesee and Wyoming Australia and run nearly all of the short/medium haul traffic here in South Australia over 3 different gauges.

  • It seems that the G&W railway is part of a US based short line association.
