This little clip was shot none-stop one cold afternoon at the corner of 8th ave. and 34th street in Manhattan. You can see better resolution version here http://innomind.blip.tv/file/610395

  • Thank you avuncular. I was there for 40 minutes shooting non-stop. Yeah, NY is changing rapidly, people aren't that open and adventerous anymore, everyone is looking at the watch as if they are on some kind of time-bomb. You are right, some people wouldn't do it if I weren't to give them cards showing the site where they can see the clip later. I think the best approach here on Youtube is to use Mpeg4 format, anything else it screws up even if hi-def.

    Cheers

  • Thanks for the support... I simply asked them to hold the frame for like 10-15 seconds for my art project. I actually have a better looking version of this clip on www.innomind.org I don't know why but youtube's engine seems to compress the hell out of the video making it almost impossible to see details and facial features in the video.

    Thanks again!

  • great man! the guy at 0:55 looks like niko from gta IV

  • This is amazing! Its total inspiration for time lapse photography. I'm very interested in your creative idea. I think I may give a try, with a different twist of course though. But awesome work!

  • Thank you! :)

  • great dude!

very nice idea...creative use of timelapsing!

  • nice

  • The high res version looks really good. Sorry so long on my reply back. I did something similar a few years back on a college campus getting peoples feedback. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hf96NPwTCs Keep up the good work!

  • New York huh? I'm suprised somebody didn't take the frame and then run off with it.

  • R.Z, that was great. Good choice of music, too. I felt bad for you during those long stretches of solo frame-holding! How many hours were you there? It seemed some people were tempted but then changed their minds. It looks like you gave people your card after.

I'll have to check out the high-def version. Youtube has an explanation page on how to avoid compression artifacts; I'm not sure if it would help. Anyway, keep up the interesting work!
