This is a short film about the work being done by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority with local landowner, Hugh Kemp, to protect red squirrels at Snaizeholme near Wensleydale. As well as looking after existing and creating new habitats in the Widdale Red Squirrel Reserve, a trail from Hawes has been created along with a viewing area for the public. For more details, see http://www.yorkshiredales.org.uk/snaizeholmeredsquirreltrail.htm.

The film has been made by Joe Tuck as part of his final project for a masters degree in Biological Photography and Imaging. More details of Joe's work can be found on his website, http://www.joetuck.com. Be sure to see his other films about nature conservation in the Yorkshire Dales on peregrine falcons, white-clawed crayfish and bats.
