I played the Amiga version yesterday, while the gameplay goodness is there the disk swapping is a big source of frustration.
Play either the PC version or on an Amiga with a hard disc.

@ReitersOfTheStorm Many fans find Civ V to be a downgraded disappointment. But there are always fan mods to count on.

Ever get this running on an iPad or iPhone? There anyways to get an emulator running now?

they should make an updated version of civ1 with the same graphics and music. Just add more units, nations etc. That is my game fantasy lol

Omg I spent so many hours infront of this game it's disturbing. On my awesome intel 386 with Win 3.1 on it. Christ, my shoe have more memory now than that.

This is the game i've probably played the most in my entire life. It feels now that I almost forgot everything i knew about it. I think you are playing a at chieftain level (think it is called that way) cause you are having those barbarians attacking your with phalanx units by 1966. at harder levels these guys come with cannons or at least with knights. Anyways it was nice to recollect that was so dear to my heart some years ago. Thanks. I give you 5 stars.
