Iranian painter Iman Maleki - One of the best realist painter in the world

man maleki is an iranian painter, born in tehran. From an early age he was fascinated with paintings. At age 15 he studied with Morteza Katouzian, the greatest realist painter in Iran & since had many successful showings of his paintings. The most important exhibition to date was the Exhibition of Realist painters of Iran in the Contemporary Museum of Art in Teheran(1999) and the Group Exhibition of KARA Studio Painters in the SABZ galerie(1998) and the SA'AD ABAD Palace(2003).

yes he is considered to be the best realist painter in the world. the quality sucks on youtube but if u see the high resolution pics of those painting, you'll see what i'm talking about

Not the best, very good but NOT the best! Look at the last painting, a girl reading on a step. What is the point of interest? The girl, so why so many bricks, most of the painting is really boring, the girl is of interest and should take up most of the painting, bad composition.

he is good...the best...maybe to some...but I do not think there is such a thing as the best in anything...good for what is required depicted and so on.There are too many ...

After visiting China... they have some amazing painters...as does Russia...was there last year...the Heritage school painters are just amazing...

But Maleki is pretty darn amazing...he paints people really well...his historical pieces are just boring..but his contemporary paintings of people are stunning

@unblesseDK Not true. Painting from life is harder but the final result looks more "genuine" and has more power to it. Artworks from pictures generally feel stiff and soulless, even if the painter is very good.

not the best, not even close to the best... even with higher resolution he's not the best... and anyone that claims to be the best can never be the best.. hahaha
