Final glide with LAK19

Fell a little bit of adrenalin during this final glide! But it was not so critical as looks... Fly safely and do some more turn in last thermal!

Eventually every sailplane pilot is confronted with final glide like that. And you can avoid it with help of Front Electric Sustainer which was developed by author of this video himself, just to avoid it next time!

I think this was in a contest, and in a contest, landing out is a huge deduction to your points total. So, if you can make it back to the field, do all you can. Contests make people do things and fly more agressively than they normally would. Thats probably why he's proud of it.

@Lumakaja Why would every pilot have to be confronted with a final glide like this? You can always choose to land out! Competition is nice but safety first, why'd he go all the way? Irresponsible behaviour..
