Shine, Mindanao

Since 2002, the United States Agency for International Development, the Philippine Department of Energy, Mirant Philippines Foundation, Inc., and the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, and the global NGO Winrock International have been working together to give Mindanao's self-driven communities a fighting chance to succeed, through the Alliance for Mindanao Off-grid Renewable Energy (AMORE) Program.

AMORE helps remote communities in Mindanao rouse themselves from poverty and conflict by 1) organizing locals into viable organizations for community development, 2) building up the capacity of these community organizations to sustain their development while protecting their environment, 3) introducing electricity in participating households in these communities that cannot be connected to the power gird, via stand-alone, sustainable and clean renewable energy systems, such as solar and microhydro; and 4) linking up these communities with other development partners for potable water projects, and 4) critical applications for electricity such as for tv-based distance education, computer-aided education and telecommunications.

we can blame muslim extriminst but we have to dig deeper know that root cause. i did not say the abusayaff are right . but if we can only give peace a chance in one single blow and a genuine peace surely we can tell our child in generation to come that MOA is the key of a true peace in mindanao.salaam my dear fellow pilipinos.

muslim are not your enemy it is the corruption of the leader on this country. that they are fighting for give justice and you will earn justice to everyone.
