I'm not a hater, I love and respect his place in music and what he has done to guitar playing in general, for years no one could touch him, but his playing is all muscle memory and relying on what he created more than 30 years ago. I think he himself got stuck in that head-space of being, "EDDIE VANHALEN" and never inovated past his peak and he became a parody of himself.
