Demi:*Staring at her clip board* How are their so many trama patients on monday night

Miley:*Shrugs* Chistmas eve,big drinking day

Demi:Well by the time the night is over I will have droped a dress size

Miley:Come on Dems it isn't that bad

Demi:The hell it isn't

Paramedic:We have a trama patient incoming,26 years old, car accident,hit by drunk driver, serve injuries to his right leg

Demi:42705 We'll be ready

Miley:Bad case?

Demi:Car accident, clear Trama 1
---after trama 1 is filled---
Joe:*Looks around at the doctors* D-Demi?

Demi:You are going to be fine Joesph, we were able to save your leg

Joe:It still hurts though

Demi:It's going to, I'll get you some pain killers

As the nurse called for help, I ran into the room to find Joe in total shock.

"What happened!" I screamed over nurses and doctors rushing around to try and same Joe.

"Overdose, one of your nurses gave him to much of the painkillers,"One of the doctors shouted back at me from the middle of the crowed. I swayed back and forth, remembering the highschool Joe that I use to love. Tan skin, brown eyes and thick black hair.I didn't know if I was going crazy or we were loosing him.He was pale of a sheet and his lips were begining to turn blue. Those lips I had temptation to kiss again like my old teenage self. The ruff skin that I wanted to feel under me. Doctors shouting was the last thing that I remembered, than it was all a blur.

"Demi! Wake up Demi! Demi!"

"Mhmm," I said blinking my eyes. As reailty came into view, I suddenly reailzed what had happened to Joe,"Joe! Is he ok?"

"Hes fine, up on floor seven in recovery."

"Am I able to see him!?"

"If you promise not to pass out again," Miley folded her arms,"Or I will have the ordierlys bring you right back down here."

'I'm fine, I promise," I said walking out of the office and into the old creeky elevator.Punching the number seven, people flowed in and out, finall reaching my floor.

"Doctor.Lovato is there someone here that you are here to say," A blonde haired nurse asked.

"Yeah a new arival Joe Jonas"

"He is in room AD4"

"Thanks Shelley." I walked down the plain white hallway, hearing my sneakers squeak behind me. AD14 AD13 AD12 AD11 AD10, Damnit how many rooms are on this floor I huffed.

Slowly peeping in the room, I saw the shallow shape of Joe in the bed. His skin had gained some of his pinkness back, but you could still see that he was weak. He had tubes coming out of everywhere. I cringed at the sight of him and quickly ran to his side. Lightly touching his fingers, I felt the sparks flood back in me that was lost between us so many years ago.

"D-Demi?"

"Huh?" I gasped looking around the room for the source of the voice. Almost instantly my heart fluttered for him, I grasped his hand,"I'm here Joe, you are going to be fine."

He turned to look at me than. Those brown eyes that I melted into as a teenager stared down at me,"What happened?" he asked glancing nervously and the tubes around him.

"You got drunk on christmas eve and got into a serious car accident."

He stares down at his hands,"Is my daughter ok?"

"Pardon?"

"Ella -My daughter- She was in the car with me when I crashed."

"She's fine, not a scratch on her."

"Than where is she Demi, I want my daughter back," He demanded at a raised voice.

"Soical services are holding her until you get out of the hospital since they found out about her mother-"

"Died of cancer?" I could only sit there and nod like a profound idiot."So how close did I come to dying?"

"99.9% close, and I passed out watching you that way."

"Why?"

"Because I still lov-care for you Joe- and I didn't want anything to happen to you." He brushed a wet spot on my cheek, Than i realized that I had been crying. God damn this man that causes me so many emotions, I thought to myself.

"Demi are you alright?" He asked at an arched eyebrow.

"Yes. Why do you ask?"

He chuckled slightly

"What!" I spat with a demand in my voice.

"Because you are making freaky faces at me when you don't talk."

I smirk,"Sorry, I was just thinking of the way things use to be between us. To be dreadfully honest, I missed it tonight more than ever."

"Really?"

"Yes Joe, You were my first love and I cant help but love you sometimes, even though it is extremly inapropriate."

"Why is that?" He asked breathing in my face.

"Because Joe we broke up along time ago, that was the past, this is the present."

He gently wraped his arm around my neck and leaned inches from my lips,"Well than I like the past a lot better than I do the past."

"No Joe don't," I say wiggling free.

"Sorry I didn't realize that you didn't feel the same way."

"I do Joe but I'm engaged,"I confess showing him my ring."
