NGS - Dragon's Claw & Tiger's Fang techniques

This video demonstrates certain combos with the DCTF that weren't really made clear in the game. You'll see that the inputs done after the Flying Swallow in the air must be done if and when Ryu reaches a wall.

The first 2 combos are just STSSSS. As you'll see in the second one, Ryu automatically rebounds off the wall to perform a second Flying Swallow (and completely misses).

The 3rd combo is STSSSS S. A little hard to notice, but Ryu performs the falling cross slash when he hits the wall.

The 4th combo is STSSSS TT. Same as above pretty much, with the exception of the last 2 inputs resulting in the spinning slashes.

The 5th and 6th combos simply add a Flying Bird Flip into the mix. The 5th being STSSSS XO and the 6th being STSSSS XTT.

Thanks for the vid, and I'd also like to ask a favor of you, if possible. If you still have this game, can you upload a video of the DCTF ground combo string that goes something like S, Delay, SSS?

These are definitely my favorite weapons in NG2 and NGS2, and it'd be real nice to see the moves that didn't make it over into the sequels.

@DongFangShuo I still got the game, however I dunno if my recording device works with Win7x64, never really tried. It was a pain just to get it working on my old laptop running XP. Maybe one day I'll look into your request, but don't count on it, as I'm just too busy in general nowadays to record vids.

When you put techniques, I expected this to be useful but its completely useless.

The DCTF isn't recommended for karma running which is why I thought this vid will be about how you can use it.

@SWIFTartz I have no idea why you would have expected this to useful. The vid description clearly indicates that it's just a demonstration of certain combos since the in game list doesn't indicate how to do them.

Besides that, I recorded the vid for some people who were asking around on forums since they didn't seem to grasp the concept.

omg o.O it says it can be found in chapter 4.. but im already in chapter 5... what da hell?.. is it realy possible to miss new items?.. do i have to start over or what?

You can find them in ch.3. If you missed them, you'll be able to buy them from Muramasa's shop in the next chapter, so no need to start over.

thanks for the video. i was wondering why the xy xxxx yy wasn't coming out for me all the time but from your vid it looks like you need to be close to a wall for ryu to complete the coming down motion. that clears things up for me.
