Nick: (nods slowly and doesnt say nothing)
Demi: (takes a seat next to David)
Kevin: (chuckles)
Nick: (turns to him and whispers: you knew about this?)
Kevin: (nods and sits back)
Nick: (feels stupid and sinks in his chair as the lights turn off)
****After the meeting****
Nick: (sees Demi walk out of the office they were in; takes her by the arm) youre the manager?
Demi: (jerks her arm away) yes, you got a problem with that?
Nick: (crosses his arms) no, not really
Demi: good, (smiles) then Ill be leaving now (turns around)
Nick: (grabs her arm) wait, how did you get a job here?
Demi: well, unlike you. David is not a sexist pig.
Nick: (lets her go and stiffens his coat) Im not a sexist pig
Demi: ha-ha-ha-ha (hits his shoulder playfully) dont make me laugh, (stops and gets a straight look on her face) you so are a sexist pig
Nick: (just looks at her; cant think of anything else) ugh (walks off)
Demi: (looks at Nick as he walks away) and that is what I call an epic failure. (walks to her office and closes the door behind her) I cant believe David wants to join companies with him.
Ashley: (sitting on Demi chair) well believe it because he does
Demi: (turns around) what are you doing in here?
Ashley: well, your dad called so I came and to tell you but—
Demi: (interrupts her) wait, my dad called, again?
Ashley: yea he wan—
Demi: I cant believe hed still call me after what I told him, ugh (sits on a chair in front of her desk and throws her head back)
Ashley: what did you tell him?
Demi: (picks her head back up) I told him that he was dead to me
Ashley: wow
Demi: well, after all he did to mehe should be
Ashley: but he sounds like he really wants to talk to you
Demi: Ashley, the only reason he wants to talk to me, is because he wants to laugh at my face and brag about how he was right about my marriage with Joe wouldnt work out
Ashley: (confused) what?
Demi: (realizes that Ashley has no idea what the heck she was talking about) um (sits up straight) nothing
Ashley: (stands up and walks to her) no you said you were married (smiles)
Demi: (tenses) no, no I didnt
Ashley: (smiles more) yes you did, to who?
Demi: (stands up) not important, do you want coffee? (trying to change the subject)
Ashley: (looks down and sees a picture frame in the trash; picks it up and sees the Joe) oh my gosh, is this him?
Demi: (looks at her and takes it away from her) no
Ashley: oh my gosh. It is!
Demi: do you always take things out of my trash? (trying to change the subject again)
Ashley: cmon, just tell me!
Demi: (gives up) okay (puts the picture on the desk) it was him (looks at the picture) we were young, well 20, (leans on the desk) we were in love you know, but my dad thought he wasnt go enough for me. (smiles) but I didnt care what he thought, he just thought that because he was not as rich as us. Anyways, (brushes her hair back) one night, Joe (smiles at his name) came to my house; it was a total Romeo and Juliet moment, except the fact that it was only my dad who hated him.
Ashley: (sits down)
Demi: he asked me to elope. Of course, me being in love, I said yes. We eloped that night. But, (looks at the ground sadness covers her face) my dad found out, I dont know how, I dont know when, but he did. He said I was a disgrace, and that Ill one day regret marring him, I never did. Even after my dad found out Joe and I had a good marriagethat was until, I got home, he was watching something. A tape, I dont know where he got it or from who, but all I try not remember was that It looked like me. (her eyes start to water) he said so many things to me that night. Things I wish I never wanted to hear from the person I loved. He left me, but I still loved him (looked at Ashley who was sitting down) even till now.
Ashley: wow.
Suddenly a gun was shot from outside Demis office and everyone started screaming
