The song is the usual length, but he spends 2 minutes at the end doing his Japanese tapping thing. Awesome. Any help identifying the venue would be appreciated. More Eric coming soon!

  • Thank you for uploading this.

  • You bet. More from this show posting shortly.

  • you can actually hear tommy taylor doing his opera in the beginning. just like the record

  • Just a quick ramble. I got to talk to Tommy when he was signing at the Ludwig booth at the NAMM show some years back. In his entire hour, one other person approached Tommy besides me. Then the kid from Social Distortion was up (who never actually played on any SD records since they used a session guy with better meter) and the line for him wrapped around the place. Kind of absurd :-)

  • another good song of Eric! My heart melts each time my son plays E.J. songs.

  • My guess is that this performance occurred at a venue that used to exist on 6th street called Steamboat. I think it's my voice in the video. I'd say about 84ish....

  • Oh My God, I have nerver found san awesome accuracy in playing guitar than in Eric Johnson, gifted artist, no doubt about it!

  • amazing musician...I would love to meet him!

  • I would never imagined that EJ could play the ending just identically to the recording. The man!

  • unreal

  • What year is this?

  • Wow- this has to be 87 time frame. The Hair and having the orignal Tones line up. Roscoe also has shorter hair. Killer. Tones rules. Emerald Isle and Bristol shores!!!

  • In my adult life, no ones music has moved me more.
