Surprised it made it to the end of that road. Sounds like it's done more mileage than the Starship Enterprise, and all of it in Essex, by the sound of it!

nice!, i have owned 9 ford classics over 20 years...i am now looking for a mint condition 2 door classic but cant find one.

@spegbog Thats nice to hear that its still on its home turf so to speak. So often do I see old classics advertised on ebay, and when I see one with an Essex plate I wonder how they got to the far flung locations they turn up in.
I bought a 1965 Vauxhall PB Cresta and I'm not even into Vauxhalls particularly. I bought it because it had REV on the plate ,denoting Chelmsford as its place of registration. I'm guilty though because when I left the UK I sold it to a friend in Middlesex....
Just out of curiosity, as this is a car that was registered in Essex when it was new, is it still in Essex these days?

@taxi2y28 yes.. Its been in the county since it was built in 1961

Not just Essex built, but this particular car has an Essex prefix registration which I think is nice to see,speaking as a person born and bred in Sarfend!
