Idk... I think personally that clowns are scarier when they are just normal people wearing makeup with exaggerated smiles. It's a lot more suspenseful than actual 'evil clowns' with sharp teeth or reptile eyes or what not. When you go to the circus, and there's what looks like someone with normal features but in clown makeup walking towards you in some odd fashion, it's scary if you have coulrophobia, as you fear something's about to pop out of their face
