Martian Magnolia (1984)

"A Day in the Life of a Martian Magnolia" is an early (1984) ray traced computer animation produced at Sandia National Laboratories. Old timers may recall a somewhat refined still from Popular Science or IEEE Computer Graphics magazines. Though visually crude by modern standards, this was state-of-the-art at the time, consuming untold hours of rendering effort on some of the fastest machines of the day.
