Alexander bodied Volvo Olympian 262 (P262PSX) on a quiet afternoon as it heads towards Portobello town hall on a no. 42 service. These were the last buses to carry traditional Edinburgh Coropration livery, which ended with their withdrawal on 29th of August 2009.

  • @Jamespringlephoto To be fair I didn't say Madder had ended. Madder is, as you pointed out, used in the harlequin livery and in the new application of the traditional colours. Traditional corporation livery however, as displayed by countless buses in preservation did end with the withdrawal of step entrance buses from regular service.

  • MADDER NEVER ENDED!

It was never to end with any bus on the withdrawal as one bus still in Lothian Ownership has it and on the 23rd March 2010, Madder was relaunched in a NEW livery.

    Research this first!

Harlequin was introduced to differentiate the Step Entry buses from the NEW Low Floor Accessible fleet.. NOT TO REPLACE MADDER!

Hence why MADDER and White is visible in the Harlequin Livery
