The Thule 699 is a top notch bike case. The only only caveat is the airlines really hit you with insane baggage fees. I found that the airlines are more receptive to the 'Aerus Biospeed Bicycle Travel Case' sold for around $250 at HumblePower. The Aerus is soft sided and has no verbiage that screams bike.
