I couldn't help but think that it's lucky no one was killed when Hwy. A washed away. I thought water had been washing over the road, but my dad said it just swirled around and liquified the sand under it. There wasn't much warning that it was going to go. I still can't believe nobody got killed.

I actually watched this video a long time ago. Never did I actually believe I'd be at that specific lake at any point because I'm from Kentucky. Well, I just came back from there today! It's great to see it thriving and it's a beautiful lake with some beautiful people :)

Yea wow, i came back from the dells just yesterday and remembered about the tommy bartlett show we watched there and i laughed when we were watching it because there was a water ramp on the ground and there was a sign painted on the side of it saying: "The Best Pirate Show! On H20!!" and the funny part was there was no water...lol

Yes, I remember the lake being drained in 1982 for the purpose of laying a sewer line through it I think.
We almost got washed away this time because we were on the road it cut through when it emptied, BUT about 13 hours earlier ;-)
