Layered Emotions Speak Project: Women and Homelessness

Sandy Merriman House and Melanie Schambach present: "Layered Emotions Speak Project: Women and Homelessness".

The Speak Project led the women through a course of self reflection, expression, painting, analysis and social action. The women's life stories and concerns are shared with the community though a large scale painting and a short film.

This women-only shelter managed by Victoria Cool Aid Society provides 25 safe and supportive shelter beds, hygiene services and drop-in facilities for women including counseling and access to health care for those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
