M-1 @ walmart is cheap and available. I change my oil @ 5k w/ M1.
Amsoil is great I am sure but you have to be part of a fcukin cult to use it.

@heavyhaultrucker - AMSOIL doesn't get anything from Mobil.
-
@newgun2000 - "Cult members"? Sounds like you're referring to sports team fans rather than people who rely on scientific test data about an oil like AMSOIL. :)
-
@newgun2000 - AMSOIL synthetic motor oils save me over $300 a year in reduced maintenance costs and improved fuel economy. I can't afford to toss out $300 and that's why I and thousands upon thousands of people use AMSOIL. How much did you spend for each oil change over that 330,000 miles and how often did you change it?

@5h4d0wdr34m5 - Search their website using Keywords --> Product Data Sheet and note what you don't find. Now to to virtually any other oil companies website and do the same. Take note of what you *do* find. That might answer your question.

Where is Royal Purple?

I just tell people to use the correct type of oil in there cars and change it when the car maker says it should be change. All oils are pretty good and I used alot of no name oil in my oil prelude about 330k on it before I retired it. You can use more expensive oil, but if it give no real benefit then why pay more? But I have heard some crazy claims and being a tech for many years if I sounds too good to be true it most like is not true , But if you like amsoil good luck and have a good drive :)

@newgun2000 I guess some of them might be. I'm not. I've used Amsoil for over 20 years, and have had several vehicles over 200k miles. I currently have a 2000 Neon with 219,000 miles and it still runs ok. I'm here to support the folks who want to try Amsoil but if someone likes Redline, Mobil1 or whatever I don't really have a problem with that.

like i said it before all the oils are good but I find Amsoil users kind of like cult members in what they believe

AMSOIL get their base stock from Mobil plant it's what's added that makes the difference...i use it in everything
@dadsbabypu - A savings difference of $150 - $200 per year is measurable and most people I know do indeed notice the AMSOIL provided savings. AMSOIL is easier to get than any other oils, as it is delivered right to your door while you sit in the comfort of your home doing better things than battling traffic, burning up money in expensive gas, standing in lines, dealing with uncaring/rude salesclerks who could care less what you buy or not. AMSOIL is much more convenient to obtain. :)

@o0Sp3cia1K0o - You might be confused, because what you said is entirely incorrect. No one, "has", to buy anything, but to enjoy the 25%-30% savings of wholesale prices, a consumer can purchase a Preferred Customer membership for a mere $10, (not $30). Most people save that $10 and more on their very first order. AMSOIL products can save consumers a lot of money in reduced maintenance costs, longer engine life and improved fuel economy that discount stores can't provide. Also, with an AMSOIL...
