"Le Blue Goose" locomotive a été peint en bleu à des fins de publicité et d'attirer l'attention du public. Ce nom se rapporte à la couleur. Peut-être "Goose", qui signifie oie, suggère la vitesse d'un oiseau en vol. Le nom du train, «chef», est destiné à suggérer le titre du chef d'une tribu indienne (native d'Amérique). Le tracé de la Santa Fe traversé beaucoup de terres occupées par les Amérindiens, et le chemin de fer utilisé ce fait dans sa publicité.

Je ne pense pas que l'annonce est dit «chef», après tout.
Je crois que l'annonce dit: «The Grand Canyon Limited." Le Grand Canyon est un immense canyon en Arizona et est un parc national. Il est une destination touristique populaire.

@wfuller1907 Thank you for your information. That may well be the "Grand Canyon Limited". There is a branch line running from Williams, Arizona on the Santa Fe main line, to go to the Grand Canyon. I have a Pentrex DVD where we see the 3751 make a trip there.

THe train that the Blue Goose is called is the "Chief". The Chief ran years before the diesel powered high speed Super Chief came out in 1937. The Chief did not have dome cars until the Super Chief years.
